چکیده

Abstract This paper presents a cross-correlation damage detection technique using scattered waves of all directions cross-correlate with the incident for delamination imaging in carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite plate. The presented can not only detect but also precisely quantify locations and sizes. First, CFRP sample interlaminar by inserting Teflon layer is designed manufactured house hot-press machine. And three-dimensional (3D) model simulated finite element method. Next, algorithm introduced detail, proof-of-concept study conducted Lamb sample. Finally, fully non-contact air-coupled transducer scanning laser Doppler vibrometer system single-mode wave method established to actuate sense interrogating structure. experimentally implemented one two delaminations quantification.

Non-contact Air-coupled Velocity Measurements in Planar Samples

Non-contact air-coupled technique has been applied to measure ultrasonic velocities in two planar samples, Plexiglas and mortar. Longitudinal waves and mode-converted shear velocities were obtained by three approaches. The obtained velocities were compared with that measured by contact method. The results demonstrate that non-contact air-coupled technique has great potential for the comparative...

Lamb Waves Decomposition and Mode Identification Using Matching Pursuit Method

Matching pursuit (MP) is an adaptive signal decomposition technique and can be applied to process Lamb waves, such as denoising, wave parameter estimation, and feature extraction, for health monitoring applications. This paper explored matching pursuit decomposition using Gaussian and chirplet dictionaries to decompose/approximate Lamb waves and extract wave parameters. While Gaussian dictionar...

Air-coupled Lamb- and Rayleigh Waves for Remote Nde of Defects and Material Elastic Properties

Conventional air-coupled ultrasound (ACU) is a well-established tool for acoustic NDT and material characterization. Its major shortcoming is concerned with a week penetration into solid materials due to a severe impedance mismatch at the air-solid interface. A dramatic rise in acoustic coupling is obtained by using acoustic mode conversion into plate and surface waves in slanted configurations...

Elastic characterization of porous bone by ultrasonic method through Lamb waves

The object of this research is to characterize the porous bones by an ultrasonic method using Lamb waves. In recent years, the characterization of such materials has attracted many authors and takes a perfect place in the field of medicine. It requires the development of more efficient technology for getting the necessary quality and security. This paper aims to exploits the dispersion curves o...
